Who we are
Refresh Your Languages creates practical language-learning apps for focused practice, revision and continued learning. This policy explains how we handle personal data on refreshyourlanguages.com and when you contact us about one of our apps. You can reach us at refreshyourlanguages@gmail.com.
When you contact us
If you use the form on our Support page or send us an email, we receive the details you provide:
- your name and email address
- the app or topic you select
- the subject and the text of your message, plus anything else you choose to include
We use this information only to answer your question and to follow up on it. Please do not include passwords or payment details in your message.
Who receives your data
Messages from the support form are delivered by email to our mailbox, which is provided by Google (Gmail). Our website is run by a hosting provider that processes technical data, such as your IP address, in server logs to keep the website secure and working. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies it needs to work. At the time of writing we do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this website. If this changes, we will update this policy.
Our apps
Our apps do not require you to create an account. Your learning progress and settings are stored on your own device. We do not collect personal data through the apps, and we do not show advertising or sell data. Purchases, including Premium, are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we do not receive your payment card details. If you contact us about a purchase, we may ask for details from your store receipt so that we can help you.
How long we keep your data
We keep support messages for as long as we need them to handle your request and any follow-up questions. After that we delete them.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. To use any of these rights, email us at refreshyourlanguages@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
